Vacation Bible School

Young Adult Bible Study
Young Adults meet at Grant and Tonya Stein’s on Tuesday nights @ 6pm for fellowship & bible study. Contact Grant for address.
Sunday School/Confirmation
We are passionate about partnering with parents to help children and youth deepen their faith and trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Using a Bible-based curriculum, our Sunday School and Confirmation classes for ages 3-grade 8 are held Sunday mornings from 9:35-10:20 a.m. during the school year.
Youth Groups
Ascension seeks to assist young adults as they grow in their relationship with Jesus, develop lasting friendships with other believers, and serve the Church and community with Christ’s love. High schoolers meet on Mondays. Middle schoolers meet on Wednesdays. For more information, contact GeriLynn Weigel, Youth Director.
Music Ministry
Ascension has a vibrant and growing music ministry. There are 2 handbell choirs, an instrumental ensemble, a contemporary praise team (singers & band), soloists & small groups, hymn leaders, drama team, AV team, and more! Adult Bible Studies
Adults meet for Bible study in Grace Hall with Pastor Sam on Sundays at 9:35am and David Gesko on Thursdays at noon.
Blanket Circle
Blanket Circle meets on Tuesdays from 8:30am-12pm in Grace Hall to sew blankets for people in need in the community and around the globe. This group, which has met for over 56 years, also crochets prayer shawls for the sick.
Game On
Game On meets every Monday afternoon in Grace Hall from 12:30-3:30pm to play games, including bridge, dominoes, and Skip Bo. Snacks and drinks are provided. Contact Dee Ponzio, Director of Senior Ministries.
J.O.Y. (Jesus Others You)
J.O.Y. meets the first Friday of each month in Grace Hall, September through May. Entertainment begins at 11:00am; lunch is served at noon. Members of Ascension & friends are welcome to attend for food, fun, and fellowship. Contact Dee Ponzio, Director of Senior Ministries.
LWML
LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) is often referred to as "Lutheran Women in Mission." The Ascension LWML meets quarterly: February, May, August, & November on the first Saturday from 2-4pm. All women are invited! Contact Jo Riester for more details!
Mission Action Teams
From serving food at Gospel Rescue Mission, to building homes at Habitat for Humanity, to distributing dry goods to local food shelves, our teams serve the community with their time and resources. Contact Jo Riester to get involved!
Christ Care Groups
Christ Care Groups of 10-15 people meet regularly for Bible study, prayer and worship, and missional service, living out Christ’s love for one another. Contact Jo Riester for more info.
