The Prayer Chain is a group of members who primarily pray for the members of Ascension and anyone requesting prayers on an individual basis. We have both a phone and an email chain. This form of prayer request is more for personal, private and confidential prayers, but any prayer requests are welcomed. Even though the pastors and staff are usually included in the chain – these prayers will not be added to the Worship Bulletin unless you specifically call the church office and request that they be added.

Prayers in the Worship Bulletin and Pastor’s Prayers:

Each week we include a list of people in our Worship Bulletin who are in need of prayers. This is a public form of prayer request usually for those recently hospitalized, those with upcoming surgeries, those that are at home sick, and also for those family members and friends who are sick and out of town. We also list prayers of Thanksgiving, Blessings, and Compassion on a weekly basis.

if you would like the name of someone included in the Worship Bulletin on Saturday/Sunday.

Any prayer requests for the Worship Bulletin should be made no later than Thursday Morning of each week. Any requests received after this time will not be printed in the bulletin until the following week. However, we will try to include these additional prayers in the Pastor’s verbal prayers during worship.

Prayer Book & Pastor’s Prayers:

A prayer book is located on a podium inside the Family Life Center worship area. We ask that you please be complete in filling out the form located in the book and understand that the information requested is helpful to our pastor and staff. The Pastor will read these prayers during worship for that weekend. In addition, if you would like these prayers printed in the Worship Bulletin the following week, please be sure to indicate this in the space provided on the form.
